Non-Inverting Operational
Amplifier kit.
The
operational amplifier (op- amp) is a highly
efficient monolithic integrated circuit. An
amplifier has an input port and an output port. In a linear
amplifier, output signal = A * (time) input signal, where A is
the amplification factor or gain (positive or negative number). The
Op-Amp has a very high gain, high input impedance, and DC coupled
difference amplifier with a low impedance single ended output.
An
ideal op-amp, by itself, is not a very useful device since any
finite input signal would result in infinite output. By
connecting external resistors around the ideal op-amp, we
construct useful amplifier circuits. The basic non-inverting
amplifier so named because the input signal connected to
the (+) the non-inverting input of the Op-Amp.
The
kit should be powered via 9V battery simply connect the battery
(+) poll to the VCC and the negative poll (-) to the Ground (GND).
Note:
Vin1 or Vin2 should be smaller then (VCC-VSS-0.4V)
This
kit contain dual (2) non-inverting Op-Amp "channel"
configurations. Each which work independently of the other board
and has its won adjustable gain trimmer (P1 and P2). However
you can short those trimmers (JP1 and JP2) on the PCB if desire. One
probably asks why? The answer is very simple. Use when you don't need
high accuracy gain, or when you use high tolerance (percentage)
1% or 0.1% resistors.
